LATEST NEWS Latest Music CD - David Dunford DAVID DUNFORD is the Director of the Pioneer School of Music at The Salvation Army Tustin Ranch Church. He is an active member of the Band and serves as both Deputy Songster Leader and Corps pianist. At the age of twelve, David made his debut as piano soloist with the Honolulu Symphony and appeared again with this orchestra at age fifteen. TUSTIN RANCH MUSIC DEPARTMENT The Music Department of The Salvation Army Church at Tustin Ranch was host to nine choirs made up of three hundred singers for the annual National Association of Church Musicians Adult Choral Festival on Sunday, April 22, 2007. NACM is a national association of church music directors and organists whose purpose is to promote church music to the highest levels by hosting workshops, festivals and their annual convention. The Orange County Chapter, whose president is Francisco Calvo, Minister of Music at Orange United Presbyterian Church, has hosted this annual event for over thirty years. The festival is designed to bring together different church denominations to share their musical talents and sing together for two combined choir pieces. The festival this year was hosted by The Tustin Ranch Salvation Army Church. Their beautiful 600 seat sanctuary was The highlight of the day was the performance by The Salvation Army Band led by Bandmaster Ed Freeman and the solo piano performance by All nine choirs ended the event by singing two anthems written by the guest conductor, Allan Robert Petker. Allan is a past president of NACM, Director of Music at San Pedro Methodist Church and writes and publishes music under his own company name,Pavone Music Company. A reception was held in the church courtyard after the event.
